Ted Hosp participated in the Birmingham Business Journal’s Table of Experts “Medicaid at a Crossroads” which was featured in the August 12th issue of the Journal. Ted, along with Dr. Will Ferniany, CEO of UAB Health System, and Mike Warren, President and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Alabama, shared their thoughts on the state’s Medicaid funding situation and how it impacts Alabama’s entire health care system. Each of the three experts responded to questions regarding the Medicaid situation, including its importance to the health care industry and the direct impact the funding shortage will have on the industry, our economy and the creation of new jobs, rural health care providers, as well as access to health care throughout the state.
