THREE MAYNARD COOPER & GALE SHAREHOLDERS NAMED TO BENCHMARK LITIGATION’S NATIONWIDE UNDER 40 HOT LIST
Maynard Cooper & Gale congratulates three of its Shareholders who have been selected for inclusion in the Benchmark Litigation Under 40 Hot List – 2016. Stephanie Houston Mays, John B. Holmes III, and Mitesh B. Shah are recognized for their skills and accomplishments. The exclusive Benchmark Litigation accolade honors the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished legal partners who are 40 years old or younger. The ranking results are a culmination of a multi-month research period, during which Benchmark conducted case examinations, peer reviews, and extensive interviews and comprehensive surveys with leading litigators and their clients.
Stephanie Mays and John Holmes are members of Maynard Cooper’s Labor and Employment Practice. Holmes serves as Co-Chair of the group. He represents management and advises clients on a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including government audits, investigations, and administrative hearings. He also has extensive experience litigating and providing advice relating to the enforceability of employment agreements and non-compete agreements. Holmes offers consultation services to employers regarding drafting or updating employment handbooks and policies, and he provides preventative training on a variety of topics to assist clients with mitigating risks.
Mays defends public and private employers, including municipalities, poultry processing facilities, health care providers, large retail companies, post-secondary colleges, and small businesses. She represents clients in litigation and federal agency proceedings and provides training, day-to-day legal advice, and pragmatic solutions that are tailored to meet client needs. Mays’ experience includes federal and state court jury trials in which she has received favorable verdicts for her clients. She also assists clients with drafting employment policies and employee handbooks and conducting internal investigations.
Mitesh Shah is a key member of Maynard Cooper’s Litigation Practice. He has extensive experience as a commercial litigator representing clients across the United States, including Fortune 500 companies and high-net worth individuals, in high stakes litigation. He fervently defends insurance companies, chemical and energy companies, airlines, manufacturers, physicians and pharmaceutical companies in class actions, mass tort litigation, wrongful death suits, and business disputes. He also has a successful record of securing summary judgments and favorable settlements for his clients.
