Birmingham, Ala. (January 23, 2014) – Maynard & Gale is proud to announce that attorney Thomas “Tom” H. Brinkley has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the AlabamaGermany Partnership.

The AlabamaGermany Partnership’s mission is to develop and support relationships and friendships between organizations and individuals with ties to Alabama and Germany as well as to increase and improve business opportunities and foster cultural exchange. As a member of the board of directors, Brinkley’s role will consist of assisting the organization advance these goals. His role will also include assisting German companies gain access to the economic development and business community throughout the State of Alabama. Brinkley is a Shareholder based in Maynard’s Birmingham office. He is Chair of the firm’s Economic Development/Incentives Group and the State and Local Tax Group. Brinkley specializes in identifying and procuring tax incentive packages for businesses in the State of Alabama, whether for existing Alabama entities or international concerns. Brinkley's current focus is on the automotive and aviation/aerospace sectors, representing all types of public and private companies in the service and manufacturing sectors. Brinkley also specializes in Alabama state and local tax legislation, compliance and controversy work.
