TONY JONES HONORED BY HOMETOWN

Over Veterans Day weekend, Government Solutions consultant Anthony "Tony" Jones traveled to his hometown of Washington, IN, where he was honored for his distinguished service to our country. Tony is a retired Lieutenant General who served in a wide range of operational and management leadership positions, including extensive aviation experience in command assignments in peace and war, and Special Operations. At Maynard, Tony provides government solutions consulting and serves as the Chair of the Defense and Aviation Strategies Group in the firm's Huntsville office. During the weekend's festivities, Tony was honored with a monument on the community’s Hill of Heroes, a key to the city of Washington, a Sagamore of the Wabash from the governor, and the naming of a street after him called Lt. Gen. Tony Jones Drive.
During his remarks, Tony said, “I came back, but it is not about me. I’m not the one that did all of these things. Daviess County and Washington and all of their men and women that have participated in all these wars we talked about this morning. The community has supported the families. They have deployed. The came back and they made Washington and Daviess County a better place to live because of the experience they gained serving the country. That’s what we’re talking about today.”
