Dear Clients,

In response to the rapidly changing COVID-19 environment, and in response to federal recommendations, Maynard has decided to implement additional precautions to protect the health and safety of our clients, members of our Firm, and community. Effective tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18th through at least March 31st, Maynard will encourage Firm members to work remotely and we will not be conducting in-person meetings in our offices. To facilitate client service needs and critical Firm operations, we will keep limited staff in select offices to the extent possible while following all local regulations and guidance. Due to the rapid spread of and concerns related to COVID-19, we believe these steps are necessary to ensure a safe working environment for our team and to do our part in combating the spread of the virus.

As communicated on Friday, March 13th, we want to assure our clients that Maynard is prepared with an emergency business continuity plan that equips us for times such as this. We will seamlessly maintain operations and service to our clients working and communicating remotely in a secure online environment. Our business continuity plan involves all levels of Firm operations with each of our lines of business and practice areas executing remote working guidelines to ensure we continue to meet deadlines and deliver our work product and services to you.

As our Firm seeks to make thoughtful and informed decisions in this developing environment, we understand that many of you are doing the same. Maynard has formed a COVID-19 Coronavirus Task Force to advise clients on the wide range of imminent and looming issues during this time of heightened uncertainty.

Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of experienced lawyers who are proactively serving to stay abreast of the volatile situation as it unfolds so they can answer questions from clients covering everything from business operations to threats to legal implications. Maynard’s COVID-19 Coronavirus Task Force has expansive industry knowledge and expertise covering timely concerns such as employee safety, insurance coverage, SEC disclosure issues for public companies, and the myriad of other areas at risk for high impact.

Maynard is dedicated to providing client-focused service, and it is the goal of the Task Force to continue to deliver this level of service to every client as they face challenges about planning for and responding to the threats posed by the virus.
