WARREN B. LIGHTFOOT, JR. ELECTED TO COLLEGE OF LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAWYERS

Maynard Cooper & Gale is proud to announce that Warren Lightfoot, Jr., Shareholder in the Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, has been elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers in the Class of 2020.

This distinction is given only to a few select lawyers who, throughout their career, have exemplified exceptionally high quality professional services to clients, bar, bench, and the public and who demonstrate the highest level of expertise and leadership in the field of Labor and Employment law. Warren joins fellow Maynard Cooper Shareholder David Smith in this organization of outstanding Labor & Employment lawyers across the United States and Canada. Fellows undergo a thorough, rigorous nomination and approval process by the Credentials Committee and the Board of Governors of the College and selection by fellow peers in the College.

“This accomplishment is recognized as the highest honor bestowed on a Labor and Employment lawyer in the country,” states Jeff Grantham, Managing Shareholder of Maynard Cooper. “We are proud that Warren is a part of the Maynard Cooper team.”

A member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment team, Warren is in his 28th year of practice representing and advising employers and management across the industry spectrum in the full range of labor and employment matters, including federal discrimination and wage and hour litigation, trade secret and non-compete litigation, contract enforcement and general tort litigation across the United States.

The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers, now in its 25th year, is a non-profit professional association honoring the leading lawyers in the practice of Labor and Employment Law. In addition to their exemplary expertise, Fellows promote achievement, advancement, and excellence in the practice by setting standards of professionalism and civility, by sharing their experience and knowledge, and by acting as a resource for guidance, knowledge, and clarity in the area of Labor and Employment Law for academia, the government, the judiciary, and the community at large. Today, the College also serves as a catalyst for positive influence, support, and progressive change in the profession.
