Maynard welcomes experienced lawyers Luke Porter and Ben Rosen to the Firm’s corporate and transactional areas of service.

Luke Porter joins the Firm’s San Francisco, CA office as an Associate in the Corporate, Securities & Tax Practice. Prior to joining Maynard, Mr. Porter worked for a publicly-traded software company and in-house with a Silicon Valley start-up. He also spent several years as an associate in the San Francisco office of an international law firm. Mr. Porter’s practice focuses on venture capital and emerging companies, including entity formation, venture financing, corporate governance, and other corporate law matters. Mr. Porter holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he served as Editor of the High Tech Law Journal and received a High Tech Law Certificate with Honors. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon.

Benjamin “Ben” Rosen also joins Maynard’s Corporate, Securities & Tax Practice as an Associate. Prior to joining Maynard, Mr. Rosen was in-house counsel, including serving as Corporate Counsel, for several software companies and their affiliated entities that spanned the globe. He concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, private equity, and other strategic initiatives for business entities. With a background in Intellectual Property law, Mr. Rosen also has experience providing legal support for company rebranding, obtaining domestic and international intellectual property protection for new patents and trademarks, filing federal copyright applications, and licensing agreements. Mr. Rosen holds a J.D., with a concentration in Business Law and Intellectual Property, from Northeastern University School of Law. He graduated from Tufts University with a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science.
