The Daily Journal has once again recognized Maynard partner Sasha Rao among California’s “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers.” The annual ranking highlights standout IP attorneys based on their career accomplishments and major IP achievements over the past year. Honorees on the Daily Journal's annual list are known for providing innovative and winning strategies for clients’ intellectual property matters. This list is comprised from hundreds of nominations submitted statewide, with the honorees selected by editors based on the impact of their work in intellectual property.

Rao is a Partner in Maynard’s San Francisco office and Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice. She is a seasoned intellectual property lawyer with an established record of success for some of the world’s leading companies. Rao is registered to practice in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and represents clients in Patent Office trials, including covered business method (CBM) and inter partes review (IPR) post-grant invalidity challenges available under America Invents Act.

The Daily Journal has previously recognized Rao as a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer (2013, 2019, 2020), Top Artificial Intelligence Lawyer (2019), and Top Women Lawyer (2019). Other awards received by Rao include recognition by the National Law Journal as an Intellectual Property Trailblazer (2019) and by Chambers USA in the area of Intellectual Property: Patent (2020) and Intellectual Property (2019-2018).
